Finally, OnePlus marks the official unveiling of their flagship smartphone OnePlus 12, which has been teased for weeks. Similar to the OnePlus 11 and OnePlus 10 Pro, the phone, dubbed the OnePlus 12, makes its world debut in China.

Perhaps the brand’s best slab-style smartphone to date is its most recent offering. It offers every luxury feature one could hope for in a high-end phone.

With this handset, the firm hopes to correct the mistakes made with its earlier models. For example, the OnePlus 12 features a speedier USB port and wireless charging for devices is returning. It has an improved camera system as well.

The OnePlus 11’s design language is carried over onto the OnePlus 12. There are, nevertheless, occasionally a few slight variations. In summary, it is splash resistant and has an IP65 rating. It is made of glass sandwiched between a metal frame.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU with LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage powers the gadget. Its 9140mm2 VC (Vapor Chamber) cooling system offers a 38,547mm2 coverage area.

The 6.82-inch curved OLED panel used in the construction of the Oneplus 12 phone is provided by BOE. With a refresh rate of 1-120Hz and a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels (QHD+), this cantered punch-hole panel delivers 510 PPI and LTPO. The 10-bit screen can be dimmed using 2160Hz PWM and can reach a local peak brightness level of up to 4500 nits.

The smartphone also shares the same camera configuration as the Oppo Find N3, sometimes known as the OnePlus Open. It comes with three sensors: a 48MP Sony IMX581 ultrawide unit with autofocus, a 64MP OmniVision OV64B sensor with an OIS-assisted 3x periscope zoom lens, and a 50MP Sony LYT-808 primary sensor with OIS. It features a 32MP camera on the front, and every one of these cameras has Hasselblad-style image processing.

All necessary connectivity features, including dual SIM, 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GNSS, NFC, and USB 3.2 Gen1, are included with the phone. In addition, it features two stereo speakers, an x-axis linear vibration motor, an IR blaster, and an alert slider.

The device comes pre-installed with ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14. In conclusion, it runs on a 5,400mAh battery and offers 100W wired and 50W wireless charging (10W reverse wireless).

OnePlus 12 availability and price in China

For CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 50,600), the base model of the OnePlus 12 comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.At CNY 4,799 (approximately Rs 56,500), this variant also includes 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. Two additional 16GB + 1TB and 24GB + 1TB variants of the OnePlus 12 are available for CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs. 62,400) and CNY 5,799 (roughly Rs. 68,200), respectively.

There are three colour options available: black, white, and green. In China, the smartphone will go on sale on December 11. Early in the next year, OnePlus plans to release the phone on a global scale.
